the best shopping destinations in Asia
If your first love is shopping, then Singapore should be your first destination of
choice. The island has big brands, local flavours, good bargains and the best in
shopping conveniences.
But like all true-blue shoppers, you probably have mastered the art of finding the
best bargains. And shopping in Singapore let you revel in a fantastic range of top

Climate and Weather in Singapore
True to its Southeast Asian location, Singapore is characterised by a hot and humid climate. Located just 1 degree north of the equator, it quite naturally enjoys a tropical/equatorial climate. The island does not have clear-cut seasons like summer, spring, autumn and winter. The weather is warm and humid all year round. Rainfall is almost an everyday phenomenon, even during the non-monsoon period. These brief showers are usually quite refreshing, as they provide respite from the sun.
Due to its geographical location and maritime exposure, Singapore’s climate is characterized by uniform temperature and pressure, high humidity and abundant rainfall. The average temperature is between 25 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius. Thunderstorms occur on 40% of all days. Relative humidity is in the range of 70% – 80%. April is the warmest month, January is the coolest month and November is the wettest month.

How to apply for jobs
The most important thing is the CV. You have to create an eye catching CV and have to take some time to do it. This is a gradual process and can't be done over night. So, create a CV and just share it with us. Then we can make some comments on it. Don't be feel ashamed to post your CV here, because we all had same time as you are experiencing now. So this is the first task.
After a composition of a 'good' CV with the comments of the others, you can create profiles in Monster, efinancialcareers.sg, JobsDB, JobStreet, etc; My personal ideas is first two sites are genuine and you have to focus on them rather the later two.
Until this point you are not supposed to apply for jobs, because there will be a higher probability of receiving calls for the new profiles.
Then start your hunt. In order to do so, you have to create a covering letter and it would be better include it in the sending mail to the each agent or HR in a company. When you are doing to please save each your applications in different folders and name them with company name. In the future, when you will get calls, you can immediately go to the directory and quickly switch to the context.
Don't send same CV to the everyone. You have to edit your CV and covering letter according to the job description. You can also create a filter in gmail in order to filter the sent emails for the ease of future references.
These are my ideas and they may vary from the context. It would be better to have more ideas from our people around here and you can make your own philosophy of "How to apply for the jobs"
Good luck.

Employment pass Qualifying salary levels
Foreign professionals will face stiffer criteria to qualify for an employment pass, in a Government move to allay job concerns among white-collar Singaporeans and boost their employment prospects.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced the change in his annual National Day Rally speech on Sunday night.
Mr Lee said the qualifying salary levels for foreigners holding Employment Passes (EP) will be raised while educational qualifications for applicants will be made more stringent.
The Ministry of Manpower will soon give more details on the new measures, he added. It will also work with its tripartite partners - employers and unions - to develop fair and responsible recruitment and employment practices.
His announcement comes a month after the Government had made it harder for employers to hire foreign professionals by raising the qualifying salaries for three types of EP: Q, P1 and P2.
Since Jul 1, the salary levels are: Q1 up from $2,500 to $2,800, P2 from $3,500 to $4,000, and P1 from $7,000 to $8,000.

What is the importance of EPEC ?
What is Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate (EPEC) ?
How long can someone stay maximum in Singapore ?
How to get visa to enter Singapore ?
What is Employment Pass (EP) ?
getting an EP depends on the educational qualification. If somebody holding a degree which has been awarded by a qualified awarding body, definitely, can obtain an EP.
So what should do is, find a job in Singapore either from Sri Lanka or afer come to Singapore. But most appropriate way is to come Singapore because is very hard to find a job from Sri Lanka.
